This afternoon retreat will focus on understanding and using mindfulness techniques to help you to get through stressful or anxiety inducing times (perfect for what we face collectively at the moment!).

The retreat will be a Home retreat – carried out via Zoom so you can stay in the comfort of your home without the concern of coming to a studio environment with others.

We all try to do our best to navigate life as smoothly as possible, but life often doesn’t follow a linear path. Our journeys are peppered with events, people, opportunities, disappointment etc that all bring us into states of anxiety and stress in differing amounts. What is crucial to our success and our physical and mental wellbeing is our ability to move through stress and anxiety with ease and peace of mind.

We will look at what stress is and how it can be helpful and unhelpful to our progress and wellbeing. We will take a look at our reactions to stress and anxiety and how the mind and body work together to deal with stress – sometimes unhelpfully.

We will learn mindfulness techniques to help us navigate a new way through stress and anxiety, letting go of attachment, control and learned or habitual responses and instead, creating a new, mindful path of least resistance.

In these times of uncertainty and challenge, we can find a new way of coping with what life throws at us. A way that will show us how to move through life’s challenges with more ease and lightness.

The retreat will include teachings and meditations and will include a set of notes and meditation instructions to carry on your practice at home over the coming weeks and months.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners. Meditations will be guided so no experience is necessary. We will meditate sitting in chairs, so no equipment or special clothing is required.

This is an afternoon retreat where we will have time for questions and discussion during the session. Do something for yourself…

Cancellations: If you are unable to attend the workshop, cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the workshop date. Any cancellations received with less than 7 days notice will be considered on an individual basis. Where there is no waiting list for the workshop, a refund may be possible (at the discretion of The Well Nest). It may also be possible to transfer your booking to an alternative workshop of equivalent price.
